Description

Development of a custom subgraph(s) for SimpleFi that aggregate several data sources for ROI/PNL data.

The grant will be used to make a custom subgraph for SimpleFi. This will:

• Streamline their data sources
• Enable them to pre-process historical data
• Make it easier for others to add protocols tracked by SimpleFi

The team is asking for some guidance from our team.

Project plan

Develop the initial SimpleFi subgraphs that query the top DeFi Protocols, built MVP front-end to capture initial user feedback.

• [x] Start developing the SimpleFi subgraph that aggregates ROI and/or PNL for:
  1. The subgraph gets all relevant from Uniswap, Aave and Curve to start, expand to subsequent defi protocols later
  2. TGF: Curve, Uniswap, Sushiswap, StakerDAO, Balancer v2
  3. Consider breaking out into independent subgraphs for each protocol; gain advice from The Graph Foundation, Protofire and Edge & Node on best practices.
  4. Test and maintain subgraphs and open-source so other developers can query
• [x] Integrate the subgraph(s) into the SimpleFi dApp
  1. The SimpleFi website will utilize the SimpleFi subgraph to show APYs, ROI, relative ROI and other useful data for all DeFi protocols.
• [ ] Collaborate with The Graph Foundation, APY.Vision and other Defi aggregators that are building subgraphs to compile APY/ROI to reduce redundancies. Coordinate with The Graph Foundation to support design of subgraph templates related to calculating ROI and help develop templates for future ROI subgraphs for AMMs, yield strategies and derivatives
